Current Projects

Curb Appeal

We need volunteers to help us maintain our garden’s curb appeal. This includes mowing, weeding and planting flowers in our flower bed that surrounds our sign. Mowing the grass along the sidewalk and on the hill is a frequent job that we need volunteers to do during the growing season.

Permaculture Garden

Our permaculture garden will need to be fenced in this season to keep the deer out. We also need volunteers to plant, water and maintain the permaculture beds throughout the season.

Regular Maintenece

Each week during the growing season,  we need volunteers to help keep the paths clear of weeds and covered with wood chips.

Food Pantry Garden

To keep our food pantry garden going, we need volunteers to help with its maintenance throughout the growing season.

Accessibility Modifications for the Garden

We are in need of a wheelchair accessible garden bed at the top of the hill, and of rope railings along the path down the hill to be used for support.

Herb Garden

Neighbor and certified Master Gardener Volunteer, Trish, built and planted a beautiful spiral perennial herb garden. We harvest Mint, Thyme, Rosemary, Lavender, Sage, and chives to package and donate to the Sunshine Place food pantry. We need weeding, watering, harvesting, packagingdonating.
